Now let’s know about how to install Genymotion Emulator into your Android Studio.
Step 1:
Go to this link and sign up for download the Genymotion Emulator setup. Here, two plan available that is personal use and Business use. Business category is having further categorized. So choose your plan as you wish. Then select the setup as per your operating System Mac, Windows and Linux.Step 2:
After downloading setup, double click on Setup. Select language and set installation location path.Step 3:
After click on next button installation process will initialize. Complete the normal installation process.Step 4:
After completing the process of installation, click on finish button. Now Genymotion Emulator is installed.Step 5:
When you open Genymotion Emulator for first time, a popup will appear that “you don’t have any virtual device yet. Do you want to add a new one? “Click on Yes button.Step 6:
A new pane will be open. Sign in with your Genymotion account.Step 7:
Then you will see all available Genymotion Virtual Devices. Choose any virtual device as per your choice and click on Next button.Step 8:
Now once done, Genymotion Virtual Device will start downloading. Once downloading completed, then click on finish. You would see that a new virtual device will be added.Adding Genymotion in android studio :
Now it’s time to link your Genymotion Emulator to your android studio.
Step 1:
First Open Your Android Studio IDE. Go to File à Settings or simply press the CTRL + ALT + S shortcut key.Step 2:
A new panel will open. Select the Plugins option. Search the Genymotion plugin. Then click on install.Step 3:
A popup message will appear. You have to click on accept.Step 4:
After that install the plugin. When the installation is complete, restart the Android Studio.Step 5:
Now you will see a small icon on android studio toolbar. Click on Genymotion small icon and give the Genymotion Emulator path.By default, it is “C:\Program Files\Genymobile\Genymotion” . And click OK.
Now your Genymotion Emulator Sucessfully Linked with Android Studio IDE.
